Lupus Fund is one of SACF special fund initiated by Professor Chen Shunle, the key instructor in medical field of rheumatism and the lifetime professor of Shanghai No.2 Medical University, and Lupus, the only international journal devoted exclusively to lupus research (published by SAGE). The fund is especially used to carry out the medical treatment and hygienic education to poor patients suffering lupus.

The first "World Lupus Day" was observed on May 10, 2004. Statistics shows there are about 5 million sufferers of lupus in the world. Our hope is: to help the sufferer of lupus to be more optimistic; to make more citizens know of the disease scientifically; and to improve public awareness of lupus. We look forward to your input and participation in our team.

Mission
As one program in SACF, Lupus Fund will officially launch in July, 2007. According to the social participation and SACF development, the fund will carry out the medical research into the prevention of lupus step by step. Also, we intend to organize a teaching team to give related lectures in community. In the meantime, the launch of the fund will make it possible to provide medical aid to more sufferers in poor areas and help them rebuild their confidence and hope to the future.

"Lupus Fund" will forge links between people of benevolence and generosity with those suffered. Love, is like the sunshine warming everyone.
